What are the benefits of meditation?
What happens to your brain when you meditate?
There are lots of health benefits that we are seeing from meditation.
The first one are usually the physical symptoms that we have when we are under stress,
Like our blood pressures go down,
Our heart rates go down,
The psychological things that we tend to feel when we are under stress.
Those feelings of anxiety,
Panic,
Fear,
Yes,
They are hard to control,
But meditation can help those actually reduce.
So,
When we meditate,
Our brain improves learning,
Emotional regulation,
Memory.
One of the most amazing benefits,
In my opinion,
Is that it actually restructures the physical brain.
As we age,
Our brain loses cells associated with memory and language,
But meditation can actually create structural change in the brain.
You can start small,
With just a few minutes every day.
If you do like four deep breaths,
One minute of breath work,
You will feel very relaxed and anyone can do that,
Anywhere.
You can do that sitting in your car.
Just pay attention to the way the air comes into your nose.
Close your eyes and just observe whatever happens,
Any thoughts,
Without judgment.
Just watch them.
They are memories from the past,
Desires,
They are part of you.
You can do this as long as you like and when you are done,
Open your eyes slowly.
When your mind is calm,
You can get into this meditative state full of bliss,
Peace and love.
