We're going to do the Taoist Inner Smile meditation.
So first of all,
Sitting in a chair,
Feel your feet firmly planted on the earth.
And you're just going to rock your spine a little bit,
Just rocking the spine on your sit bones,
Rocking over and back,
And feeling a little gentle vibration through your spine.
And we like to feel the spine being flexible and free.
It's known as the tree of life in the Tao.
Just rocking over and back.
And now you can relax your face,
Relax the muscles of your face,
The muscles around your mouth,
Soften and relax your eyes,
Your eyebrows,
And your mid eyebrow.
You can just use your thumb and just rub the mid eyebrow between the two brows,
And relaxing this point here.
And now you're just going to breathe in a golden light in through the mid eyebrow to the brain,
To the right and left sides of the brain,
Breathing in a golden light to the back of the brain.
And just breathing that golden light to the seven cervical vertebrae,
The vertebrae of the neck,
Counting down to the 12 thoracic vertebrae,
Then to the five lumbar vertebrae,
Golden light,
The lower part of your back,
Your spine,
And breathing in a golden light into the sacrum and the coccyx,
Your tailbone.
And this golden light heals the bones and the spinal cord.
And next,
We're going to activate the heart fire.
So you can bring your hands in front of the heart in a prayer-like position,
And you're going to smile to your heart,
A real smile.
A very gentle smile,
Directing it inwardly towards your heart.
We say it's a smile that's not a smile,
Like the Mona Lisa smile,
Barely smiling.
Breathing in to your heart,
Just smiling to your heart,
Softening,
Relaxing the tissues of your heart.
There's no need to hold any extra tension in your heart.
Breathing in a red light to the center of your heart,
Surrounded by green light,
And the cells are relaxed and healthy.
And you embrace the good feelings of love,
Joy,
Happiness,
Appreciation,
And gratitude.
And the heart is related to fire,
And so too are the small intestines.
And so next,
We smile to the small intestines,
Breathing in a red light,
And embracing love,
Joy,
Happiness,
Appreciation,
And gratitude in your small intestines.
And just notice how good you feel in your heart and your small intestines,
Shining,
Radiating health.
And we say that the fire nourishes the earth.
So next,
We come to the spleen and the pancreas.
We smile to the spleen and the pancreas,
And you can send the love and appreciation from your heart to your spleen pancreas,
Saying,
I love you and thank you.
The tissues soften and relax,
And you're gonna breathe in a yellow light.
The cells are relaxed and healthy,
Connecting with the good feelings of trust and fairness and openness,
Trusting that everything will be okay.
And now the stomach is also the element of earth,
And so we smile to the stomach,
Smiling,
Relaxing the tissues,
Breathing in a yellow light.
Cells are relaxed and healthy,
And you embrace trust,
Fairness,
And openness,
Trusting that everything will be okay.
And notice how good you feel in your spleen and your stomach and radiant health and vitality.
And earth gives birth to metal,
So next,
We come to the lungs.
You can smile to your lungs,
A gentle inward smile.
Send the love and appreciation from your heart to your lungs,
Saying,
I love you and thank you,
Feeling gratitude for the breath of life,
For sustaining you,
Softening,
Relaxing the tissues with each breath,
Breathing in a white light,
A white protective light into your lungs.
Cells are relaxed and healthy,
And you embrace the good feelings of courage and integrity.
These are the virtues that are housed in your lungs,
And the large intestine is also the metal element,
And so we smile to the large intestine,
Softening,
Relaxing the tissues,
Breathing in a white light,
And embracing courage and integrity.
Notice how good you feel in your lungs and your large intestine,
Shining,
Radiating health.
And metal gives rise to water,
So next,
We come to the kidneys,
And you can just rub your hands warm.
Bring your hands to your kidneys,
And you can feel the warmth of your hands,
To your kidneys on your back,
Smiling down to your kidneys.
Send the love and appreciation from your heart to your kidneys,
Saying,
I love you and thank you.
The heart can radiate and multiply energy.
We call the heart the emperor of the organs,
The team leader,
So we smile to the kidneys,
Breathing in a blue light into your kidneys.
The cells are relaxed and healthy,
And you embrace the good feelings of gentleness and peace,
Calm,
Stillness,
And wisdom.
We say wisdom is the highest expression of the kidneys,
And these virtues are available to you now and in any given moment,
Smiling to your kidneys.
And next,
We smile to the bladder,
Also the water element,
Softening,
Relaxing the tissues,
And breathing in a blue light,
And the cells are relaxed and healthy,
And again,
Connecting with gentleness,
Peace,
Calm,
Stillness,
And wisdom in your bladder,
Smiling.
When we smile,
We transform the energy.
We give life to the organs,
Bringing us vitality,
Health,
And balance.
And notice how good you feel,
How good you feel in your kidneys and your bladder,
And radiant health and vitality.
The water nourishes the wood,
So next we come to the liver,
Which is an organ associated with the element of wood,
And we smile to the liver.
We can send the love and appreciation from your heart to your liver,
And the heart can really radiate out energy,
So we say I love you and thank you to your liver.
As the heart radiates and multiplies energy,
I love you and thank you,
And the liver works tirelessly,
Rarely complaining,
So we soften and relax the tissues of your liver.
Have the sensation of your tissues relaxing,
Breathing in a green light,
A fresh green light into your liver.
The cells are relaxed and healthy,
And embracing the good feelings of generosity and kindness,
Forgiveness,
Forgiving yourself first,
And being able to extend this forgiveness towards others.
Think,
How can I be kind and generous to myself?
And then extending it towards others.
And now we smile to the gallbladder,
Also the wood element,
And relaxing the tissues,
And breathing in a fresh green light.
The cells are relaxed and healthy,
And embracing the good feelings of generosity and kindness and forgiveness.
Just notice how good you feel in your liver and your gallbladder,
Shining,
Radiant health.
And we say the wood feeds the fire,
So we come back to the heart,
And the heart is the great connector,
So we breathe into the heart,
Breathe into the heart from the universe,
And we breathe back out to the universe.
Breathing in and back out,
Activating the heart,
The heart fire,
Smiling to the heart,
Feeling love,
Joy,
Happiness,
Feeling your heart radiating,
Blossoming open with love.
And in the Dao,
We really place importance on self-love,
Loving yourself.
This is the true goal,
To love yourself.
And this also enables us to love others.
And now we can smile down to the sexual organs.
So you can place one hand on your heart,
Bring one hand towards the sexual organs,
And we smile down.
Call this a smiling sunshine,
Fire underwater,
And when we smile,
We transform the energy,
Transforming the life essence,
The jing as you smile,
Shining,
Radiant health.
And next we come towards the navel,
So we're going to smile towards the navel,
And we go a little bit below the navel,
What we call the lower dantian,
So we gather at this energy center,
The lower dantian,
And we're going to spiral,
We're going to spiral outwards from small to big.
You can use the arms just to spiral out the way,
Out towards the outer edges of your belly.
Now,
Ladies can go in an anti-clockwise direction 36 times,
Men go in a clockwise direction 36 times,
36 times,
Just spiraling out,
Gathering the chi,
And then spiraling inwards 24 times from big to small,
And preparing to store the energy at the navel,
At the lower dantian,
And asking,
May the chi be with me as you store the energy of your practice.
May the chi be with me.
Thank you.
