The objective of this course is to support you in breathing in a healthy way. Each lesson provides information supported by modern science, and guidance through simple practices you can bring into your everyday life to guide you towards healthy breathing.


Meet your Teacher

Louise is passionate about supporting people find calm and balance in all aspects of their lives, drawing on ancient wisdom found in yoga, which is increasingly backed by modern science. She has been practicing yoga - incorporating physical postures, breathwork, mudras and meditation - since 1997, and teaching in person and online since 2019. She is qualified to teach meditation and a range of yoga styles including Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Prenatal, and Chair Yoga. Louise is also a trained Ayurvedic health coach, and loves to bring together Ayurvedic practices, yogic wisdom and modern science in a way to truly support her students.

Lesson 1

Step 1: Breathe Through Your Nose

In this lesson we explore the importance of nose breathing, and introduce a short mindful breath check-in practice to support you moving towards healthy breathing.

Lesson 2

Step 2: Cleanse And Lubricate Your Nose

In this lesson we will look at the practices of cleansing and lubricating your nose, to support healthy breathing through your nose. We'll look at the practices as traditionally practiced in Ayurveda as well as more modern ways of accessing them.

Step 3: Use Your Full Lung Capacity

In this lesson we will explore basic anatomy of the lungs, which part of the lungs we tend to use when ill or stressed, and how to shift into breathing in a way that is supportive of the respiratory system, and is calming for the nervous system.

This is a great course for those who want to understand how to take care of their nasal health and breathe more easily. The information is clearly presented and you can do this with just a few spare minutes in your day. I especially appreciated learning how to deal with dry nasal passages since it is a struggle for me every winter when indoor heating causes congestion.
