Yin Yoga | Let go of emotional tension | 60 min

With Arisha

There are places in the body where we quietly store what we didn’t have space to feel. The hips that learned to hold. The shoulders that carried too much. The chest that protected itself a little longer than it needed to. In this slow, full-body Yin practice, we create time and support for those places to soften. Through long-held shapes and gentle openings, we’ll explore the hips, shoulders, side body, and heart space — not to force anything to release, but to allow whatever is ready to surface to do so in its own rhythm. Yin can be surprisingly powerful. When we stay still, when we breathe, when we feel without rushing to fix — the body sometimes begins to speak. Emotions may rise softly, or they may simply shift in subtle ways. Both are welcome. Before you begin, prepare a calm and safe space where you won’t be interrupted. Turn off notifications, dim the lights, and dress warmly so your body can truly relax. You’ll need a bolster and blocks for support — or pillows and cushions if that’s what you have at home. You are very welcome to join me for this practice and spend this time reconnecting with your body — not changing it, not improving it, but simply feeling it. Giving yourself permission to slow down, to notice, and to be present with whatever is there. And as we move through this practice, I invite you to remember that your body is not your enemy and not a problem to fix. It is the place where you experience everything — sensation, emotion, touch, color, warmth, connection. It carries you through life. It allows you to feel. May this be a space where you gently return to it. And leave feeling a little more open, a little more honest, and a little more at home within yourself.
