Let Everything Be As It Already Is - Practicing Acceptance As A Gateway To Inner Peace: Guided Meditation & Supportive Discussion [Copied]

With Corin Bryant

Join us this week for a powerful invitation into total acceptance, a chance to release tension from the body and mind and relax into the wise and compassionate path of letting things be as they already are. This guided meditation will be a gentle and gradual release of our usual attempts to control and change things and an exploration of how much more at ease we feel when we relinquish some of this frantic striving. Acceptance does not mean to be passive about life nor to subject oneself to misery, instead acceptance invites patience and wisdom into situations and allows one to be calm and at ease even during periods of transition and external chaos. Acceptance can mean accepting things are not ideal currently but steps are being taken to change the situation and accepting that it might be a difficult time. True meditative practice allows us to be at peace even in the midst of the change and chaos around us, as we choose to develop peace and value serenity. Alongside this we might find that large chunks of our internal conflict spontaneously resolve, as we have been fighting against something that does not need to be struggled with at all. When we turn our gaze inwards to the heart we find the true peace and serenity that is available from the recognition that nothing needs to change in the external world, peace and happiness results from flowing with the river of life instead of swimming against it. This session is designed with practicality in mind and will contain practices and pointers on how to utilize meditative and spiritual principles in daily life to reduce anxiety and stress and develop true inner peace and wellbeing. Almost ALL traditions, practices, philosophies, religions, beliefs and sciences emphasise the importance of Acceptance and Presence as a means to inner peace and happiness. Those familiar with the works of Adyashanti, Mooji, Rupert Spira, Gautama Buddha and Angelo Dillulo often find my style and principles familiar. The guided meditation will be between 20/30 minutes and followed by an informal Q&A with continued guided practice (Satsang style) All of these sessions contain advice on how to carry this practice through into daily life and pointers on deepening spiritual and meditative practice. Theses sessions are often light-hearted and often includes references to artifacts in pop-culture to illustrate the principles. Metaphors are often taken from films like The Matrix, Lord Of The Rings, Truman Show, and Shutter Island to open discussion and make the philosophies discussed accessible. (The relative individual practice of Emotional Healing and Shadow Work as they relate to meditation and Spirituality will be covered in the Sunday sessions.)
