Somatic Yoga: Love as Resistance and Resilience
With Liza Colpa
This somatic yoga practice invites us to explore love as a form of activism and resistance—love practiced through care, boundaries, rest, and resilience. Through slow, intuitive movement, heart and hip openers, and long, supported holds, we’ll create space for the body to soften and release what it has been carrying. Throughout Black history, love has been an enduring force—expressed through community care, survival, and devotion to dignity and life. As writer bell hooks reminds us, “Love is an action, never simply a feeling.” This practice honors love as something we live and embody—on the mat and in the world—so we can continue showing up with integrity, humanity, and care.
