Neurodivergence, Trauma, and Nervous System Regulation
With Lynn Fraser
Neurodivergence describes natural differences in how brains and nervous systems work, and includes autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other variations. These differences are not caused by trauma; they are part of human diversity. In this class, we explore how trauma and neurodivergence interact, why the overlap can be hard to untangle, and how understanding the distinction supports healing with greater compassion. We look at somatic mindfulness and nervous system regulation practices that are flexible and adaptive, meeting a wide range of needs. Join us to explore how inclusive, compassionate practice affirms that there is no single right nervous system, and that each of us deserves care, respect, and tools for thriving.
Join me live on Tuesdays and Sundays 10AM as we explore themes from my book Friends With Your Mind and my Insight Timer course Your Mind And Nervous System: Working With Thought And Building Safety
