Living On: Caring For Ourselves After Loss
With Theresa Conti
Experiencing loss is one of life’s greatest challenges, whether it be the loss of child, partner, parent, pet, or other loved one.
Our friends and communities may want to help, yet often do not know how, and the people we think will be there for us may surprise and disappoint us. During our time together, we will explore the benefits of developing a program that fosters self-care and resilience, and importance of being on our own side - setting healthy boundaries, when needed; letting go of what no longer serves us and; trusting our intuition, among other topics.
As we learn to care for ourselves, we may fear losing our connection with our loved ones. Yet, there is a difference between living on and moving on. We will never forget the ones we love. In fact, our relationships will continue to grow, and we will always be connected.
A couple of gentle notes: While I am not a grief counselor, I speak from my own experience of losing my son last year, and from more than three decades of work as a personal and spiritual development coach.
Also, please know that we may run over an hour, dependingon the size and participation in the group, but you're welcome to leave any time.
