Trauma Informed Gentle Yoga

Gentle yoga offering intended for those surviving significant traumatic events. Words are powerful, and the language we use informs our bodies, minds, and our spirit. Each moment of this class is an invitation to be present with yourself and whatever is coming up. Everything is welcome, all bodies are welcome, all participation in any way is welcome.
Come as you are, yoga mat optional. Feel free to gather any extra props like blocks, bolsters, pillows, blankets, an eye pillow or anything to cover the eyes, water bottle or maybe some hot tea. We will begin with a gentle, guided resting meditation, move into a movement practice, and end with another resting meditation/savassanah.
I acknowledge the presence and history of native peoples across Turtle Island (north america) and the rest of the world. Thank you for your stewardship and continued presence.
I thank every one of my yoga teachers, their yoga teachers, and all yoga lineages across the globe, originating in the Indus River Valley. I am humbled by these ancient practices and feel honored to continue to heal and share this wisdom. May all beings experience peace and unconditional love.
