Sensory Rest & Savasana — With Chakra Ajapa Meditation [Copied]

With Darshak N Gala

Our senses are constantly stimulated — by screens, sounds, and the demands of daily life — often leaving the nervous system overworked and fatigued. This gentle, restorative session offers a profound sensory reset, designed to soothe the body, calm the mind, and create a deep inner pause. We begin with guided self-care practices and simple massages for the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and skin, using easily available tools to soften external stimulation and turn awareness inward. To prepare, if possible, have nearby: Two small towels (can be used warm or cool) or cold packs, An eye mask or small soft cloth, Rose water, A calming essential oil, incense, or gentle room aroma, A fresh herb (like basil or mint) or spice (like cardamom or cinnamon). After the sensory practices, we settle into a deeply supported Savasana, using pillows or bolsters for comfort. In this resting position, we practice a gentle Chakra Ajapa Meditation, guiding awareness from the root to the throat centres through breath and subtle internal sound vibration, followed by extended silence for integration and deep rest. This session is a nourishing reset for overworked senses — ideal as a calming evening ritual or a restorative pause in your day. ~45–60 minutes | All are welcome
