Hate Conflict? Here's What May Be The Source Of Your Discomfort
With Margo Helman
In this talk and practice, learn how fear of difficult feelings underlies our extreme wish to avoid conflict. And what we can do to begin to heal that.
The work of being with feelings is an unavoidable piece of the work of healing and thriving in our relationships. When I can sit with feelings, I don't have to fear conflict will knock me completely off my center.
I can walk into my feelings. Not like a brick wall, but as a forest path thick with leaves and branches, some thorns, not seeing where the path goes. I can take one step. I breathe in the scent of the forest. I peer ahead, looking for the next foot fall space.
