Join Lynn Fraser and the Stillpoint Community for a monthly four-hour silence retreat on the first Saturday of each month. Each hour begins with a 45-minute guided session followed by a 15-minute break. We’ll explore meditation, inquiry, and deep relaxation in a supportive atmosphere of stillness and rest. You are welcome to stay for the full retreat or for the sessions that work best for you. This is a gentle invitation to pause, turn inward, and reconnect with the calm presence within. In Hour Two: Some folks experience fear as they go deeper into stillness and meditation. There is a potent stillness in the dark that in many cultures we are conditioned to fear. Our nervous system is reacting and is afraid of the unknown. On a physical level, we are safer if it is light and we can see potential danger. This does not apply in the level of the vast depths of the mind and the feminine energy of the sacred dark. During winter in the northern hemisphere, it is a natural time to turn inward, rest and reflect. Bring to mind the points of light in the dark night sky. This practice eases fear and awakens us to ease in the energy field of stillness and the deep soul nourishment in the dark sacred night.
