Lovingkindness also known as metta is a style of meditation with origins in the practice of Buddhism that invites the meditator to practice compassion towards oneself and others.
This practice of meditation includes visualization, mindfulness, and repetitive affirmation expressing positive feelings towards oneself, one's loved one(s), strangers, and people who may be difficult to love.
