What You Resist, Persists — A Yoga Nidra on Dvesha (Aversion)
With Leslie DMello
What if the struggle isn’t the feeling itself… but your resistance to it?
In Yoga philosophy, this is called Dveṣa — the fourth of the five Kleshas (Afflictions) described in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (Chapter 2, Sutra 3). It is the aversion to discomfort — the subtle, often unconscious movement of pushing away what we don’t want to feel.
In this session, we explore how avoidance quietly shapes our lives — from distraction and procrastination to emotional resistance. Through a short, story-led talk, you’ll begin to recognize the patterns of “this shouldn’t be here” that create inner tension.
This is followed by a deeply immersive Yoga Nidra practice, guiding you to gently turn toward experience… without force, without judgment.
No experience needed. Come as you are… and discover the freedom in allowing.
