Sound baths work best when your body is fully supported and distractions are minimal.
Lying down in a dark room helps your nervous system switch out of “doing” mode. An eye fold or eye mask reduces visual input, and headphones allow the sound to move through your system more clearly and evenly.
This setup gives your brain fewer things to track — so it can actually let go.
You’re not watching, focusing, or following instructions. You’re resting. The sound does the work by giving your body a steady rhythm to settle into.
If you can, set yourself up somewhere comfortable, dim the lights, put on headphones, and let yourself lie down for the full experience. The more you remove external stimulation, the easier it is for your system to soften and drop in.
