When Being Strong Becomes Too Much ~ Finding Rest Without Letting Everything Stop
With Theresa Hubbard
Week Three ~ This guided meditation offers an experience of rest that doesn’t require withdrawing or shutting down. Through gentle attention and breath, you’ll explore what it feels like to let the body settle while remaining present and supported.
Many of us learned how to be strong because we had to. Over time, that strength can become something we carry automatically—showing up as effort, tension, or fatigue in the body.
This 6-week live series offers a sequence of guided meditations designed to support slowing down, softening unnecessary effort, and listening more closely to the body’s signals. Each meditation invites you into a quiet, grounded experience where strength doesn’t have to mean bracing, and rest doesn’t have to be earned.
Each live session is a guided meditation that includes:
~A brief orientation to help you settle
~Gentle visualization to support safety and awareness
~Guided attention to bodily sensations and inner experience
~Time for integration before closing
No prior meditation experience is needed, and you’re welcome to join for any session. Each meditation stands on its own, while also building gently over the six weeks.
This series is for anyone who notices they’re often holding it together, staying strong, or carrying more than they realize—and is curious about what it might feel like to meet themselves with more ease and care.
All live events are offered freely, with optional donations. Please listen in a safe, comfortable space and participate in a way that supports your well-being.
