From Triggered to Integrated: Understanding Your Shadow
With Katrine Horn
You can’t build a new life with parts of yourself locked away.
Many of us are living from identities shaped by what was rewarded, approved of, or deemed acceptable. Meanwhile, other parts of us quietly went underground.
The anger that felt unsafe.
The ambition that felt “too much.”
The sensitivity that felt inconvenient.
The voice that learned to stay small.
In this Insight Timer Live, we’ll explore what psychologist Carl Jung described as the “shadow” — the hidden aspects of self that influence how you show up, what you tolerate, what triggers you, and what you believe is possible.
Together, we’ll gently explore:
• Why certain people or situations activate you
• The protective role your shadow has played
• How disowned traits shape your identity
• How to begin integrating, rather than suppressing, these parts
This is not about fixing yourself.
It’s about meeting yourself more honestly.
More compassionately.
More wholly.
Because transformation doesn’t come from becoming someone else.
It comes from reclaiming the parts of you that were never meant to disappear.
All parts of you are welcome here.
