Sacred Pause w/Carol & Rumi
With Carol Lawrence
Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, simply known as Rumi, was a 13th-century Persian poet, Islamic scholar, and Sufi mystic whose work has had a profound and lasting influence across the world. He’s one of the most widely read and beloved poets today, particularly known for his lyrical exploration of divine love, unity, and personal spiritual growth. ::: Rumi's teachings center on a message of universal love, tolerance, positive reasoning, and the pursuit of a mystical union with God through poetry, music, and dance. ::: After his death in 1273, his followers and his son established the Mevlevi Order, also known as the Whirling Dervishes, to continue his spiritual practices. ::: Rumi's emphasis on universal love and transcending boundaries of belief and origin has made his work consistently popular across cultures and centuries. ::: It's my great joy every 1st Sunday to share Rumi with you. I've saved you the best seat in the house. Join me in the Sacred Pause.
