Do you identify with your identity?
I have the feeling that some people take their identity too seriously.
So is it really that it is a part of your personality?
Or is it more that you can identify with what you want to be,
Have or be connected to?
Some people have a really strong identity regarding nationality or other topics like gender.
I would ask the question,
What would remain of you if you lose your identity?
Could you still be in a certain sense?
Could you still live?
Sometimes it would be a relief for some.
Sometimes it would be a big lack,
A big void.
So having an identity makes sense.
To not completely be empty.
So meaning if you choose a certain identity,
Belonging to a certain group of people or excluding others,
Then do it consciously.
And furthermost,
Do not focus too much on pleasing others.
So being accepted by others is an ultimate driver for a lot of people.
So having an identity just to be accepted by others that share that ideology or that idea of yours,
That is unfortunately shallow.
So having an identity that would remain if others were not there,
Then you're a bit closer to what actually suits you.
And maybe you can resonate with others that have and share same ideas,
Similar ideas that you can learn from,
That you can exchange with.
But just to be accepted,
That is not a good starting point in terms of identity.
Maybe you have a different opinion,
A different view on identities.
What do you think of identities?
Are they necessary?
Do you have to identify with your identity or can you just take it easy?
So as if you change your clothes.
I'd be happy to hear from you if you see identity as something really important.
Maybe you have a story of a person that identifies strongly with something so that we can learn from that and others can see if it makes sense or not.
Or maybe you also have an inspiring story regarding identities that you want to share here.
That would be really nice because I'd love to be uplifting on my channel.
Happy to hear from you.
Enjoy your journey.
