Hi,

I'm Carissa,

Licensed massage therapist and esthetician.

I wanted to do a short breath work practice with you today.

Find a comfortable seated position with your back straight and your feet planted firmly on the ground.

Take a deep inhale through your nose,

Filling your lungs with air.

Hold your breath for a few seconds.

Exhale slowly through your mouth,

Letting all the air out.

Repeat this.

Take a deep inhale through your nose,

Filling your lungs with air.

Hold your breath for a few seconds.

Exhale slowly through your mouth,

Letting all the air out.

Repeat this process again.

Take a deep inhale through your nose.

Hold your breath for a few seconds.

And exhale slowly through your mouth.

Focus your attention on your breath.

Notice the sensation of the air flowing in and out of your body.

If your mind starts to wander,

Gently bring your attention back to your breath.

In and out of your body.

Take a final inhale and exhale,

And then slowly open your eyes.

This can be practiced for just a few minutes or as long as you like.

It's a great way to center yourself and calm your mind when you're feeling overwhelmed or stressed.
