The Invitation To Come Look
by Ryn Bonney
Around my 42nd birthday, I became a poet. Over the course of two weeks, there were fourteen poems that simply poured from my heart onto the page. The words have been patiently waiting to be shared. Each poem is read twice. This is The Invitation To Come Look.

Come look.
Stand with me at the edge of your thinking.
Have you ever wondered?
Allowed the curiosity to guide you?
Gave up the judgment and sat with the question?
The world is exactly as you believe it to be.
The answer you seek,
The evidence gathered,
Defends the argument and leads the attack against yourself.
All that is needed comes to mind when the fighting stops.
A misunderstanding.
How does the world actually work?
A gentle smile.
Soft sigh.
A feeling.
Simple truth.
Beyond the edge.
Waiting to be noticed.
