Today we'll explore a guided Qigong tapping and self acupressure meditation to empower you to release stuckness,
Overthinking and replenish your energy so you have momentum to keep moving forward.
We'll explore the connection between the earth element and your intrinsic ability to nurture yourself,
Stay centered and feel appreciative and content in any situation.
We'll now prepare to start our tapping and self acupressure practice.
Today's acupressure point is located on your lower legs below your kneecaps so you may wish to do today's practice in a seated position on a chair or on the ground with your legs stretched out in front of you,
Whichever feels best and is most accessible for you.
Later on we'll start with some gentle tapping,
Tracing the rough pathways of the stomach and spleen energy channels,
Then we'll wrap up the practice with self acupressure.
Let's start now by gently tapping your palms down along the front of your thighs to stimulate your stomach meridian channels.
When you arrive at your kneecaps,
Take some time to gently circle and massage them.
I like to do three circles in each direction and you may wish to explore and find what feels good for you.
Then you are welcome to continue tapping down along the front of your shins until you reach the top of your feet,
Then loop around to your inner ankles and make your way slowly up tapping along your inner calves,
Your inner thighs,
Following your spleen meridian energy channels.
So this is one round and we'll try this two more times following your own rhythm and pace.
Tapping down along the front of your thighs as you reach your kneecaps,
Gently circling them,
Then tapping down along the front of your shins until you reach the tops of your feet,
Loop around to your inner ankles and make your way slowly up along your inner calves and thighs back towards your hips.
As you tap,
You may wish to visualize that you are gently tapping away any worry or overthinking.
As you tap,
Exhaling to let go of this overthinking,
Letting go of any worry that you are not doing enough,
Letting go of any need to receive external validation and inhale breathing in contentment,
Breathing in a sense that you are worthy as you are here and now.
Feel free to take as long as you wish,
Moving through your third and last round for this tapping.
As you wrap up the last round of tapping,
If you wish,
You may gently rest your palms on your lap and guide your awareness inwards.
If it feels good for you,
Gently let your eyes close.
Notice what there is to notice,
Any sensations,
Heat,
Tingling,
Whatever might be coming to surface.
Now,
We'll locate the acupressure point for today's session.
Stomach 36,
Also known as the three leg Mao.
Zhu San Li.
This point is found below your kneecap about one hand's width down from the bottom edge of your kneecap and slightly to the outside of your shin bone.
Stomach 36 is often referred to as three leg Mao because it's believed that stimulating this point would allow a person to walk an extra three miles and the urban legend goes that in the past in China,
Soldiers used to massage this point so that they could march for an extra three miles.
In our practice today,
As you massage this point,
Connect with the belief that this point will help you walk your life journey with strength and centeredness.
Later on as we massage,
We will massage both of these points on your left and right leg at the same time.
We'll press to inhale for three counts and then release as you exhale for six counts,
Repeating for a total of five times.
To prepare yourself,
Connect with the visualization,
The image of yourself as a tree during harvest season.
Now gently place your thumb or your fingertips on the stomach 36 point on your right and your left leg and now we will apply gentle pressure as you inhale for three,
Two,
One.
Slowly release the pressure as you exhale for six,
Five,
Four,

Gently circle and massage your stomach 36 point on your right and your left leg as you continue to allow your breath to flow freely.
With each exhale,
Feel yourself releasing any stagnation,
Stuckness or overthinking.
Visualize these obstacles falling away like overripe fruit from your branches.
With each inhale,
Visualize yourself assimilating the necessary nutrients,
Oxygen,
Sunlight and vital ingredients from your surroundings.
Let yourself draw in what you need to ripen,
Transform and transmute.
Now,
Gently place your healing hands,
One each over your stomach 36 points,
One on top of each leg.
As you connect with these points,
Visualize yourself harvesting the fruits of your labor.
Feel that each step you take in life is steady and grounded,
Like a farmer reaping the rewards of your hard work.
You are embracing transformation.
You feel centered and you feel at ease and at home within yourself.
With your next inhale,
Appreciate the bounty of your inner harvest.
With your next exhale,
Release any lingering tension,
Doubt or overthinking.
Feel that at the core and center of your being,
You are grounded,
You are nourished and you are more than capable of facing and overcoming any challenge that comes your way.
If and when you feel ready,
Gently release your palms from the acupressure points.
You may wish to place your palms together,
Gently rub them against each other,
Creating warmth and heat between them and let them gently cover over your eyes.
In the darkness of your palms,
If your eyes are closed,
Let them gently and slowly blink open.
Let your warm palms,
Your healing hands slide down the contours of your face and let them once again unite in a gesture of gratitude and prayer in front of your heart,
Acknowledging yourself and this present moment.
Thank you for joining me in this guided self acupressure and tapping meditation.
