If the mind is not really peaceful now, it might not be a perfect moment to listen to this podcast, one has to be aware of the emotions or reactions that can block one from listenING ATTENTIVELY and with HUMILITY. Listening to this talk is meditation. What one needs to do is listen attentively, without being stuck in words, examine the mind in silence, no agree or disagree, just look at the mind as it is. Can one live without any mental dependence?

Can one end any psychological dependence?

But the mind does not depend psychologically.

There is no such thing called me,

The ego,

The self.

And such a mind is extremely stable because it no longer relies on thoughts.

Dependence on thoughts can bring about a sense of certainty temporarily,

But thoughts are in nature unstable.

When the mind sees this trap,

Can the mind act now?

Physically I do depend,

But psychologically can I live life without any dependence?

Which means that there is no me,

No ego,

No self at all.

The mind is observing and learning amongst these dynamics of thoughts,

But it never relies on any thoughts,

So the mind is free of any attachment.

And such a living has no nonsense,

And can see all the nonsense clearly in its world.

Because this mental dependence only generates nonsense.

So it is a matter of act,

To act now,

To really test out for yourself.

You can't figure it out by thinking,

By using another thought,

Because that is still the continuation of dependence on thoughts.

What one only needs to do is to surely act now to end this dependence,

To end this continuation of thoughts,

Which manifests this continuation of the dependence mentally.

And such a living is never confusing.

The confusion comes from the thoughts because they are unstable,

And the dependence on thoughts brings about this odd confusion about living.

When the mind depends on nothing mentally,

Such a life is clear,

Totally clear,

And very doing so embodies the true meditation.

There is no authority to depend on,

And you are your own light to guide yourself,

That is to end any mental dependence,

Any psychological dependence.

This requires tremendous observation,

Diligence,

And the mind can't be lazy.

Being lazy means the mind is depending on some reverse or some tricks.

This also means that such a living,

Which is clear,

Is not easy,

Because the easy life is always depending on something mentally.

But such a life,

Where there is no confusion,

Is clear,

Joyful,

And such a mind stays unknown.

It won't know whether it's easy or not.

It doesn't know,

When such a mind is clear,

Is sharp.

And this can be only done by you in person independently.

And this self-inquiry,

This conversation between you and the speaker,

Is to convey this quality of mind,

A mind that has no mental dependence at all.

And what we can see is only up to here.

What is left is up to you to find out by your actual living.
