Namaste,
And welcome to this grounding root chakra meditation.
Take a moment to ground into your surroundings,
Taking a seated or lying down position.
Close the eyes if that feels safe,
And listen to the sounds of the crackling fire.
In Sanskrit,
The root chakra is known as muladhara,
And its meaning is the root of everything.
Next,
Take your hands into the shape of prana mudra,
Taking the thumb and pressing it to the ring finger.
Prana is the life force that moves through everything.
The ring finger represents the earth element and the muladhara chakra.
So,
Press the thumb to the ring finger on each hand,
And then find a comfortable place to rest each hand.
Take your awareness to the base of your spine,
Visualizing a red orb,
And as you inhale,
This red orb spins clockwise,
And on the exhale,
The red orb spins counterclockwise.
Envision this red orb glowing like a fire.
Inhale,
The red orb spins clockwise,
And exhale,
Counterclockwise.
On the inhale,
Recite,
I am connected,
Protected,
And grounded,
And on the exhale,
I am connected,
Protected,
And grounded.
Two more times.
On the next inhale,
Envision the orb expanding throughout the entire body,
And on the exhale,
It continues to expand.
On the inhale,
Envision the orb expanding throughout the entire body,
And on the exhale,
Breathe to seed syllable,
LAM.
Inhale,
Expansion.
Exhale,
LAM.
On the inhale,
Recite once again,
I am connected,
Protected,
And grounded.
Exhale,
I am connected,
Protected,
And grounded.
On the inhale,
Let the orb expand throughout the entire body one last time,
And on the exhale,
Envision it going back to the orb at the base of the spine.
Inhale,
Visualize the red orb glowing like a fire.
Exhale.
On the inhale,
See the orb spinning clockwise.
Exhale,
Spinning counterclockwise.
Inhale,
Clockwise.
Exhale,
Counterclockwise.
Inhale,
Clockwise.
Exhale,
Counterclockwise.
Take your awareness to the prana mudra,
The ring finger and thumb touching,
Representing the earth element in the muladhara chakra.
Take the hands to heart,
Coming into prayer mudra.
Taking a deep inhale.
Exhale,
Open the mouth and sigh it out.
Flutter open the eyes,
Come back to the space.
Thank you for practicing with me today.
The light in me honors the light in you.
Namaste.
