Hello and welcome.

My name is Amanda Sellers and I'm honored to be your guide through this pre-game,

Pre-race,

Pre-event meditation.

Find yourself in a comfortable position.

Maybe you're seated in a chair with your feet on the ground.

Maybe you're laying down in the grass.

Or you're sitting on a bench.

Wherever you are right now,

I invite you to gently close your eyes.

Have your shoulders relaxed.

Soften your jaw.

Let your body feel relaxed,

But you're sitting with purpose.

We sit with purpose because we are filled with purpose.

Now gently take a deep breath in through your nose.

Fill your lungs and hold it at the top.

Keep holding,

Keep holding.

Hold.

And when you're ready,

Softly exhale through your nose.

Let's do that again.

Slowly inhale through your nose,

Filling your body up with air,

Filling your lungs.

Hold at the top.

Hold.

Hold.

And let it all go.

Let go of anything that has happened before this moment.

Right now your only job is to focus on your breath as you listen to these words.

You're going to inhale again and inhale peace and calm.

And exhale anything you need to let go of.

Inhale strength and resilience.

And exhale anything but this present moment.

This moment right now is all that matters.

Now I want you to imagine your event happening,

What you're about to go do.

From your warm up to the moment it starts and as it unfolds,

I want you to imagine every detail.

Imagine your body moving and excelling in ways you couldn't have imagined.

What do you see?

How are you moving through this game?

What are you doing?

How are you moving through this event?

You see that everything is working out in your favor.

You're an effortless flow of grace and strength.

What are you capable of today?

Today you are capable of anything.

See again your body moving in ways you've never seen before.

See yourself as fierce.

Power.

Skill.

Agility.

Dominant.

Leader.

Now focus in on something incredible that you want to happen during your performance.

What is that?

Imagine the feeling of succeeding.

How does that feel?

Feel the feelings of this happening.

Celebrate it.

It's all happening now.

You believe it so you will see it.

Feel gratitude for this happening.

Feel thankful for those around you who helped make this happen as well.

Feel gratitude for your body.

Feel like a big palm tree in the wind that cannot be knocked over.

You go with the flow,

But your roots remain grounded and strong.

Feel the energy flowing through your body.

Repeat these mantras out loud or in your head.

I am confident in my abilities.

I am protected.

I am prepared.

I stay calm and focused under pressure.

I maximize every moment.

I thrive in competition.

As you go about your pregame routine,

If you see a reflection of yourself in a mirror or window,

When you glance at yourself,

You're reminded of your greatness,

Your pure potential.

You see strength,

Leadership,

Adversity.

The one who never backs down,

Never gives up,

And you have the respect of all your peers.

You are a warrior,

A force,

A champion,

And you've never been more ready.

I'm going to count you down from five to one,

And as we count down,

You feel yourself coming back into your body.

Five,

You've never felt more focused,

More energetic,

Or more ready.

Four,

Coming back into your body and feeling the fire within lighting you up as your body and mind are now aligned.

Three,

Moving around fingers and toes as head to toe,

You have never felt more ready for this moment.

Two,

Take a deep breath in,

Deep as you can.

Hold your breath.

Hold it.

Now,

One,

Open your eyes as you slowly exhale and take in your surroundings around you.

There is no better time than right now.

You were made for this.

You are ready.
